Matt Cutts is back, this time tweeting about the latest Panda update:
“Just fyi, we rolled out a small algo change this week that improves the diversity of search results in terms of different domains returned.”
So he has a moniker for his favorite and our least liked term: “algo”
While Matt is snappy on words, things are quite long and chatty when webmasters talk about a possible major Panda update. How major can it get?
It turned out that, as Matt Cutts said: there wasn’t a Panda update but rather an update to the diversity of the search results.
However, earlier in the day they indeed rolled out a Panda update that affected 0.7% of queries. So this is just a refresh and nothing major as the webmasters would rant about. On why Cutts tweeted another thing? Maybe to avoid duplicate content.
