SEO Reseller Responsibilities

When outsourcing SEO, often times a SEO Reseller asks the question, "What is my responsibility as a SEO Reseller?" This document is written with the purpose of clarifying the profile of a SEO Reseller.

The Learning Curve:

Anyone who sells SEO needs to understand the industry, the terminology, and the basics behind how SEO works. You need to understand why SEO is profitable for the End Client, how it produces ROI, and why it is an investment into the End Clients future. You need to be able to understand keyword statistics, and be able to explain an SEO proposal with in depth keyword research to an End Client on your own. The more education an SEO Reseller has, the higher level of consulting they can provide. High End Consultants are capable of selling campaigns at $3000/month and Low End Consultants typically sell them at $500/month. Core competency in this industry is invaluable. You do not have to understand why we do everything we do, or exactly how it works, but you need to at least sound like you do and be able to answer basic questions on all different components to a campaign.

Sales:

You are responsible for finding your clientele. Whether you use a sales team to proactively call current, past or potential clients, or rely on organic traffic to your website, or simply have a flow of existing clients who need SEO - you are responsible for your own sales efforts.

Customer Support:

The majority of any SEO Resellers responsibility is customer support. You will have to answer a lot of basic questions to your clients and be able to explain our reports to them with competency. You will need to manage expectations accordingly. Our reporting process is straight forward and quite simple, but if you do not know SEO terminology and are not at all familiar with the industry, then you need to go over our example reports and take the time to learn the different components. Most of your customer support will be based off of our reporting process. Endless Rise, Inc. provides bi-weekly reporting to our SEO Resellers. It is recommended to provide monthly reporting to your clients as this will cut down on your time spent on customer support, and the typical SEO Company only provides monthly SEO reports. Traffic reports can be provided more often as these are automated through Google Analytics. Billing:

The SEO Reseller is responsible for collecting payment from the client in a timely manner. It is very important that you

Educating Your Clients:

We have a lot of stipulation in our keyword guarantee because there are a lot of things an End Client can do that can negatively affect our SEO efforts. If the Client changes around their website navigation structure or change the Meta tags on their own accord or alter a lot of the core website content, this can have a devastating effect on their current rankings. It is advisable to give your clients a list of "things not to do" while the SEO campaign is in progress. All of these things void our guarantee so please see them detailed out below:

The website goes offline for any reason.

The website's navigation structure is altered without approval.

The website becomes blacklisted independent of our actions.

The website is engaged in any spamming activities.

The website’s URLs are changed or linking structure is tampered with.

The website's content optimization or meta tags are modified independently from our approval.

The website gains a virus or is compromised by malware and flagged by Google.

The website has duplicate content on the Internet somewhere, as in a Micro-Site for additional marketing that had exact duplicate content pasted onto it.

SEO Reseller Guarantee:

Endless Rise, Inc. offers our Universal Keyword Guarantee, although we do not advise offering this to your End Clients. Google published a warning to not offer a guarantee for SEO Rankings and because of this most every SEO Company does not offer a keyword guarantee. We are able to offer a guarantee because we are not guaranteeing exact keyword placement, we are guaranteeing a percentage of the keywords to rank on the 1st page. So technically we are able to offer this guarantee. It is our security blanket to our Resellers. It is your responsibility to make the decision if you would like to offer this guarantee and we will always stand behind it 100%.

*Campaign Specific Responsibilities*

Gather Client Information and Website Access:

There are a few main campaign responsibilities that need to be addressed. Once a campaign is sold, Endless Rise, Inc. requires certain information that is the responsibility of the Reseller to gather. We need our campaign commencement form completed which includes FTP and CMS (if necessary)

Additional Website Content (if applicable):

Within 5 days of the campaign commencing we will analyze the site more closely and determine if the content on the Client's website is sufficient. Sometimes we will require additional page creation or additional website content to make our SEO efforts possible. 90% of the time the End Client is going to want to provide the website content themselves as they know their industry better than anyone else. Endless Rise, Inc. will create the new pages for free but it is the responsibility of the Reseller to collect this content by the end of month one, and as soon as possible is best. If the End Client does not want to write the content, then it can be purchased through us for $18.00 per 100 words, or you are also welcome to contract a content writing company of your own, or write their content yourselves. Please note, website content writing is only required one time during the first month, and not every website will need additional content. We can only target 2-3 keywords per page, so if a Client with a 4 page website wants to target 30 keywords, prepare to have them write or order content.
