A “next generation” penguin is coming in 2013 said Google’s head of search spam, Matt Cutts, at the recent SMX West (March 11 – 13).
On his blog, Barry Schwartz thinks that this is going to be big and that “this will send some ripples through the SEO space”. Many are expecting this update to come by Q2 of 2013.
To refresh our memory, Google Penguin search algorithm is targeted at websites violating Google’s guidelines by using web spam and over-optimization techniques, such as keyword and link stuffing, participating in link schemes, creation of duplicate content, and others.
