Google has now confirmed there was a refresh late Friday, June 8th, which reportedly affected less than 1% of queries in the U.S. & 1% worldwide. The belated announcement was made via A Googler tweet posted June 11th.
We’ve been following the webmasters chat over at WebmasterWorld where many are already suspecting of some changes after observing Google’s shift in the search results.
Again, nothing seems monumental except for the 1% minor worldwide coverage. You see, Google has a way of making updates appear slight and irrelevant.
