Please take the time to read about all the dashboard and service updates. Many of these updates are important for you to be informed about as they may directly impact your clients.
Discontinuing Piwik Custom Analytics
For the longest time we have been excited to be offering the Piwik Custom Analytics, but we have recently decided to stop offering this service. We will keep the analytics dashboard up itself, but we will not be pulling additional traffic data into the system as of the end of January. You will be able to login and track all traffic history through the Piwik dashboard, however moving forward you will need to rely on Google Analytics for future traffic analytics.
We decided to discontinue the Piwik analytics because it is hard to maintain such an ENORMOUS amount of data on our servers, and it also can cause the website to load slowly if our servers are not up. We are recommending giving us permission to remove the Piwik script from your website and to make sure Google Analtyics is installed. Another reason why we decided to discontinue Piwik is because we will be building a new performance tracking dashboard and we need to rely on one resource to pull analytics data from. When it came to which resource is better to pull data from for a performance dashboard, Google Analytics won hands down. For future development we can only rely on one central resource for analytics and therefore Piwik becomes seemingly useless once the new performance dashboard is released.
Old Support Tickets Module Removed
The old support ticketing module has been removed from your dashboard navigation. As stated in an earlier newsletter, the old support tickets module will be removed on January 13th. We asked that you catch up and close out any support tickets in the old module, as the new communications hub contains the latest tickets and tasks. For those of you who were not able to close out all of your old support tickets in the old support ticketing module… no need to stress as you still have access to them. If you need to access the old support ticketing module you can use the link below.
Ultimate access to the old support ticketing module will be disabled on March 1. So, although the old support ticketing module is no longer accessible directly from the dashboard you can still access it using the link below. Keep in mind that on March 1 you will not be able to access this using the link below and therefore you really need to make sure to close out all old support tickets in this module by March 1 at the very latest.
Public URLs for Intake Forms, Launch Forms, Keyword Information and Public Services
With the dashboard we provide public URLs to certain pages. The reason for providing a public url to a particular page in your dashboard is to allow you to give someone access to data or collect data from someone without requiring them to login to the dashboard. Pages accessed by public links often times have special restrictions and the public links are typically given to your current or potential clients. All of our public links now use the domain name you are logging into the dashboard with. Therefore, if you used e-dasher.com to login to the dashboard, then your public link would say www.e-dasher.com/blah blah blah.
If you logged into the dashboard using your domain masking then the public link should show your domain name instead of e-dasher.com. In the past we had some public links that used an ip address instead of the domain name and this has since changed. It is now necessary for you to domain mask the dashboard in order to have your branding (domain name) on all public links. Below are the specific updates to each public link available from within your dashboard.
Keyword Information Page
Quite possibly the most powerful interface in the entire dashboard, the keyword information page is generated after you have submitted a proposal request for a service involved in ranking keywords (SEO, LBLO etc.). When you get back our keyword research, competition analysis, site audit reports and online presence report, this can be a lot of information to digest. We created a public link to this page so you can give the client direct access to all of the research we have ran for them. The client can click on the public link you send them and see all this data with certain restrictions. The public link on this page will reflect the domain name you logged in with so make sure to setup your domain masking.
Intake and Launch Forms
The intake and launch forms have had public links for a long time now, the difference is the public link no longer uses an ip address and now uses a domain name. This change was made about 2 weeks ago. The domain name will reflect your domain masking so make sure to setup your domain masking. When the client fills out the intake or launch form off of the public link it will send you an email letting you know the form has been completed.
Services Page Public Link
The services page has a new feature. When you go to your services page you will see a button in the sub navigation that says “Public Services Link”. When you click this button a window will appear with a public link inside of it. This public link uses the domain you logged in with so make sure you are logging in with the domain you setup with your domain masking. The public services link allow your clients to view all of your services and even select what service they want, fill out the intake form themselves, and submit the proposal request. Once a client submits the proposal request you will be emailed to let you know that someone has submitted a proposal request for you and of course our team will go ahead and start on the research. The “People” involved in the proposal request by default will be all managers unless you go to your manage company page and set the default public services sales points of contact.
New Design UI’s
We have been busy making our dashboard look better . As you will notice the following pages and components have a brand new design released within the last 45 days. We spent about 2 months working really hard to improve the design of the dashboard. When we work on the design we are not only focusing on looks, but also usability and consistency.
Below are all the pages with a new design:
- Top Navigation
- Company Profile
- Manage Company Page
- User Profile
- Services Module
- Report Library
- Document Library
- Video Library
Ticket and Task Assignees Controlled by People Settings in Campaign Tracker
When you launch a campaign the campaign tracker identifies who from within your company is a project management point of contact. Previously we assigned tickets and tasks to those whom were listed in your People section on the campaign tracker. The problem arose when you wanted to change those whom were assigned to all tickets or all tasks for a particular campaign, because the People section is what we reference, but it was not directly linked to who was assigned on tickets or tasks. Due to popular demand we have recoded this functionality. We no longer assign tickets or tasks to you, the dashboard does this automatically.
The project management points of contact in the People section of your campaign tracker are the same users who are assigned to all tickets and all tasks for that particular campaign now. Therefore if you add a person to the People section of the campaign tracker for a particular campaign, then the new user added would also be added as an assignee to ALL tickets and ALL tasks. Similarly, if you wanted to remove a person from the People section of a campaign then the user removed would also be removed as an assignee from ALL tickets and ALL tasks for that particular campaign. This allows you to have complete control over the assignees on your tickets and tasks.
Keyword Ranking Dashboard – Tag Additional Keywords with Custom Tags
In the keyword ranking dashboard you are able to add up to 10 additional keywords outside of those in which we are targeting on the campaign… for free! When you add additional keywords we previously tagged them with a label saying “Bonus Keywords” so we could identify those we are targeting vs. those added simply for tracking purposes. We received many requests to allow you to be able to tag the additional keywords with something other than “Bonus Keywords”.
We have now given you the ability to edit the tag on any additional keyword you enter into the keyword ranking dashboard. When you add keywords they will still be labeled with “Bonus Keywords” but you can click to edit the label. You have to select the button from the sub navigation that says “Manage Keyword Tags”. This window will allow you to set your own keyword tags and then when you go to edit the keyword tag you will choose from the drop down which keyword tag you want to select.
In regards to the further development of the keyword ranking dashboard itself, we are currently recoding how we receive data. If we do not receive data for all keywords then we have a small team that will run the keyword rankings with another system and update the dashboard with the new data. Our recode on how we receive keyword data within the dashboard will be done in about one week and then we expect to see much better ranking data.
Manage Company Member Level Restriction Updates
Within the manage company page we have made quite a few upgrades. This interface allows you to control your company and client users. See below for all the updates we have made.
You now have increased permissions on how to edit the retail pricing on all packages. Since we recently came out with the public services link, you want to make sure to set your retail pricing accordingly because the retail pricing is what is display on the public services page.
Proposal Module Restrictions
Many agencies requested for us to build out permissions to allow them to hide the proposal module from member level users and also to alternatively be able to hide only the discussion in the proposals module. We have added these permissions in the manage company page.
Hide the Billing Icon
You can now hide the billing icon in the top navigation from member level users.
Show/Hide Services to Manager, Member, and Client Users
In the manage company page you can now choose what packages you want to have visible to your managers, members or clients. The client view for services is the public services displayed off of the public services link found on the services page. The services are not viewable from the client portal, only from the public services link. We consider the public services link to be the client view. So when you hide certain services from the client view, you are actually hiding services on the public services page.
White Label the Dashboard to Member Level Users
We have been asked to create a white label login for users from within your own company. Of course we are white label to your clients, but we have never been white label to other users in your own company… that is a whole new ballgame.
Slowly but surely we will be able to offer some white label options to you so you do not have to disclose to other members of your company whom have dashboard access that Endlessrise is behind the scenes. Currently you can add a user from your company as a member level user and they will not know who Endlessrise is if you set the following permissions in your manage company page.
- Cannot see ER document library
- Cannot see ER video library
- Cannot see the communications hub
- Cannot see the campaign tracker
- Cannot see the billing icon in the top navigation
- Cannot see ER live support slide-out
- Cannot see the discussion in the proposal tracker
These settings are all necessary if you do not want a member level user in your company to know who Endlessrise is. What is the down side? They can’t see discussions, tickets, tasks, or manage campaigns. Currently these settings are only appropriate for a sales team to have. Salespeople (:)) under these permissions as a member level users can view services, view retail pricing, submit proposal requests, track proposal projects, view all research and reports, and even launch a campaign. So although their permissions are very restricted, it is the ideal setup for a sales team and does not disclose the Endlessrise name anywhere.
The following social media packages have been deemed outdated and will be discontinued. We planned on discontinuing these once we released our last batch of SMO packages but many agencies still wanted to continue using these older packages. Unfortunately these older packages are too outdated to continue supporting so we must discontinue them. If you have live campaigns running any of the below packages do not worry, we will continue to run the old packages if on an existing campaign.
- SMO Basic
- SMO Starter
- SMO Advanced
- SMO Pro
- SMO Expert
These updates are also posted in the document library if you need to reference them at a later point in time. We take pride in being your business partner and being able to produce the technologies that help you succeed. I will be in touch within one week to go over a sneak peak of our new services release.
